What's A Label?

By definition a "Label" is a tag, a marker, a sticker that is used to designate.

From "Sister Sukie" to "Bougie," I have been labeled for as long as I can remember. As a matter of fact, just recently I was "Labeled" "Black Panther" Mom for instilling self love and self pride in my children. It's funny because I would label such a person a "caring" mom!

As I matured I began to realize that those who actually took the time to label/judge me saw something in me that I had not yet saw in myself.

I am or was perceived as a challenge to their status quo.

For every "I can't" - I say "I can."

For every obstacle - I say, "I am!"

I live in my truth and my focus is always the "Next Level."

My spirit is too big for a label!

My dreams cannot and will not be limited to a "One Size Fits All" label!

My soul has no boundary - I thirst for "The Good Life!"

So label me Intrepid, Ambitious, Intelligent, Beautiful, Appealing, Loving, Kind, Warmhearted and Giving -

Label me Lena! 💁🏽
