I love relaxing in solitude. Solitude allows my mind to roam free without focus. Solitude gives me time to reflect and I never know where it will lead.
Today I thought of auras. Beautiful, mystical auras. It is said that eyes are the windows to the soul, but auras are glimpses of the soul. Don't get me wrong. Auras are not an everyday ocurrence. I would equate seeing an aura to seeing a rainbow. Something that happens every now and then.
The first time I saw an aura surrounding an individual I was in my late twenties. The aura was purple and the subject of the aura was my co-worker. I walked in the office and there she was. Standing by my desk holding a cup of coffee. I stopped. I froze. I stared. I was stunned. I didn't understand what I was witnessing. I managed to mutter, "you look beautiful!" I collected myself and we laughed and engaged in our usual morning conversations. We have long parted ways but she remains a beautiful memory.
My second memorable aura sighting was my mother's. My mom lived with me during her illness. Her illness made her weak, so I gave her a bell to ring to get my attention. One morning as I prepared breakfast I heard the bell ringing. When I got to my bedroom it was filled with white light emanating from my mom's body. I said, "Mom!!! There's beautiful light coming from you!" She weakly looked at me and said, "baby can't you see your grandmother and auntie? They're right there!"
Of course I didn't see them - unfortunately I never got a chance to meet them in my lifetime. My mom passed on later that evening.
I kinda think that auras are God's link to the universe. A glimpse into eternity...
