A Reflection Of 2015

I remember wondering what lies ahead as I always do. New year, new hopes, new dreams... new chances.

I know for certain that my personal growth and development increased exponentially - major life changing circumstances were methodically aligning with my spiritual DNA. I began to experience a peaceful fearlessness that rendered strength to my soul.

Through God's grace, my thyroid cancer was nipped in the bud! As my doctor spoke the words, "no radiation necessary!" I remember thinking... hmmm, my work is not done!

2015 allowed me to experience my husband's love on a level I had never felt in our 40 years of marriage.

2015 ushered in a whole new branch of my family tree that I never knew existed, and the love from that union is simply amazing!

2015 I lost my aunt and the godmother to my daughter - but I found the aunt that I had been looking for years for!

I shed tears in 2015, but the love and joy that God placed in my life this past year made me feel not only blessed - but highly favored!

As I continue to reflect on my life, my most prized possession is the memory of witnessing my daughter receive her Bachelor's of Science degree in psychology. I cried for two days! Tears of joy! Tears of gratitude! Tears that my mother had not lived to witness this day with me.

You see my daughter achieved this goal as an adult - married with two small children and a full time job! She had barely recovered from having her second child when she said to me, "mom, you were right! I'm going back to school!"

So here we were witnessing this amazing woman receive her degree. I felt as if I was having an "out of body" experience. As I watched my mind travelled back to her teen and young adult years... the arguments... my fears and concerns... God's words echoed in my ears...

"I will never leave you nor forsake you."

"You are more than a conqueror!"

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

NO ORDINARY DAY!

Saturday, December 12, 2015:

UN Climate Change Agreement has finally been reached by 196 nations banning together in solidarity to reduce greenhouse emissions. This is life changing for every living human. This gives us all a brighter future by producing a healthier environment. Not only will this agreement help to slow global warming, thereby reducing polar melting; thereby allievating flooding to the extent that major cities like New York and New Orleans - have less chance of going under water.

While I am by no means a physicist, I do know this is big! It has a direct influence on generations to come... as does this second major event that took place Saturday also.

On this day our sisters in Saudi Arabia were allowed to vote for the first time in the country's history. Unfortunately, after voting for the first time, these ladies were not allowed to drive themselves home because driving while female is prohibited in Saudi Arabia! Monumental baby step though!

This past Saturday was no ordinary Saturday!

In my mind this past Saturday was a testimony that God is still and always will be in charge. This past Saturday allows me to believe my descendants will breathe better, live longer and stand stronger. My great-great-great granddaughters will achieve things that I never thought possible in my life time. To my girls I say this:

God made man physically stronger - not smarter than woman...

God created woman from man's rib for a reason -

We were created to stand beside man - not behind him...

This blog is dedicated to the unborn female souls of my lineage.

An Angel

An Angel will smile as bright as the sun

An Angel will stand strong with a strength that is fortified and sustained by love

An Angel knows that love prevails

An Angel dances in Light

An Angel will pray for the soul to know God -

For to fight the "good fight" is to stay in prayer and walk in God's grace

Have you entertained an Angel today?🙏🏾
